Abie Nathan will be always remembered as the man who travelled the world to help people in need. In May of 1973, Abie was determined to keep the drums of war in the region silent with the sounds of the Voice of Peace. He came up with the idea of a ship at sea broadcasting love peace and good music to the world, while looking at the sea from a hotel in Cyprus. The Voice of Peace immediately became the most listened to radio station in the Mediterranean. The success was enormous, but during the winter time the crew on the ship was at risk, and Abie wanted a license to broadcast from shore, but unfortunately Abie couldn't achieve it because of political issues. We are here to continue Abie's dream of Peace and Love to your fellow men. God Bless Abie. Watch a tribute by Noam Tal on Abie's life |
